MellowMind: Low-Dose Cannabis Gummies

Project Overview:
MellowMind was one of the final brands I created before my departure from my last job. The concept behind this brand was inspired by a personal observation and market research. While many cannabis products, particularly edibles, aim to deliver high doses of THC, I noticed a gap in the market for products that prioritize flavor and offer lower, more manageable doses of THC. These products would appeal to casual consumers looking for a more controlled and enjoyable experience without the overwhelming effects typical of high-THC edibles.

The brand’s identity reflects this idea, with fresh, tropical looks that emphasize lightness and balance. MellowMind was designed to offer cannabis gummies with low dosages of THC per serving, focusing on a balance of cannabinoids like CBG and CBD, along with THC, for a more relaxed and approachable effect.

My Role:
As one of the key designers for Hywaze, I focused on:

  • Brand Conceptualization: Developing the concept for MellowMind, including naming, positioning and the overall look of it.
  • Packaging and Visual Identity: Designing the brand’s fresh, tropical look with vibrant, inviting colors. The design aimed to reflect the approachable, balanced nature of the product.

The brand’s focus on flavor and lower dosages taps into a growing trend among consumers seeking a more enjoyable, less intense cannabis experience in a market dominated by high-THC products. The tropical, fresh aesthetic of the packaging was designed to reflect the look I believe should appeal to this particular audience.
